Layering is one of the 5 key principles of light travel. The Road Warriorette uses this principle to wear skirts over dresses. It works best in the winter months, when a little extra warmth is nice. She gives the following tips on wearing this look:
- Have the dress be a different material than the skirt
- Have the dress be narrower than the skirt
- Have the dress be shorter than the skirt
- This look works better with a structured skirt as opposed to a skirt that clings
This style works especially well if you have narrower hips. I have a hard time wearing this look, as I have wider hips. I prefer wearing various tops over my dress to get more outfits. Stay tuned for discussion of that topic in a future post.
